Why Use Fast Data Science’s NLP Dashboard to Analyse Free Text Data

Collecting Free Text Data from your customers provides an avenue for them to express their views and opinions candidly. Unlike multiple choice questions which limit responses to given options, Free Text Data allows customers to point out unique issues undetectable by predefined choices. This form of data collection uncovers implicit insights that could be vital in improving your products and services to better suit customer’s needs. It may also highlight strengths you weren’t aware of, therefore enabling you to double down on those aspects for business growth. Moreover, collecting Free Text Data is very useful for improving customer experience. Understanding and analyzing this data helps to identify pain points in the customer journey which can then be rectified. Also, it uncovers customer sentiments, preferences, and expectations which aids in creating a personalized customer experience. Fast Data Science’s NLP Dashboard offers an efficient way to get actionable insights from Free Text Data, optimizing your decision-making process based on customer feedback. Next, let’s take a look at how to analyze this data:

  1. Manual Coding: This involves going through each survey response and classifying it based on predetermined themes. Though a reliable method, it is quite time-consuming, especially when dealing with large volumes of data.
  2. Machine Learning: Here, NLP (Natural Language Processing) algorithms are used to automatically categorize and analyze the text responses. Techniques like sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and text classification can help to quickly understand the main themes, emotions, and opinions in the responses. The method chosen would depend on the volume of data and resources available. However, utilizing machine learning solutions like the NLP Dashboard can be a more scalable and efficient option for larger datasets. Overall, utilizing Free Text Data in your surveys is essential in understanding your customer’s needs and sentiment. Through careful analysis, this data can drive changes that improve customer satisfaction, product quality, and ultimately, business performance. You can also create an NLP dashboard to analyse Product Reviews, Patient Reviews, KOL (Key Opinion Leader) Insights, Staff Survey, Customer Reviews, Employee Complaints.

“Grateful to have found Fast Data Science. My organization was working on a new data project (which required the analysis of over 1 million open-ended responses) and were so happy to have been guided by Fast Data Science. The set up process was fast and easy, complex analysis was communicated back to my team in an easy-to-understand way, and we were so pleased with the work that we are planning to work with Fast Data Science in the future on all of our data analysis needs.”

Customer Success Stories

We have built NLP dashboards for Free Text Data and other topics for organisations around the world, including

World Health Organization (PMNCH): What Young People Want

Client: PMNCH (Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health), a division of the World Health Organization. Initially commissioned in partnership with White Ribbon Alliance. 🌐 Visit the dashboard at wypw.1point8b.org.

GIZ: Women’s Economic Empowerment in Mexico City

Client: GIZ México (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, the German international development agency) and White Ribbon Alliance. 🌐 Visit the dashboard at explore.whiteribbonalliance.org/en/giz.

White Ribbon Alliance: What Women Want

The White Ribbon Alliance asked over 1 million women asking them about their top requests for maternal and reproductive healthcare. The survey focused on eight countries: Mexico, Cameroon, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. The responses came back in text format (instead of categorical responses), in a variety of spellings and even languages, which made the survey difficult to analyse on a global scale. 🌐 Visit the dashboard at exchange.worldwewantproject.org.
