Thomas originally studied Physics to Masters level at the University of Durham, UK, before completing a second Masters in Computer Speech, Text and Internet Technology at the University of Cambridge in 2008. He has been working in machine learning and natural language processing for more than 10 years across a number of industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and recruitment. He has provided consulting services to the NHS, Tesco, Boehringer Ingelheim, and CV-Library. Besides his consulting work with Fast Data Science, he retains some academic links, where he gives a yearly talk in the Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School at Oxford University.

Roy gained his PhD from the London School of Economics in modelling financial markets. After taking various analytics and data science leadership roles in algorithmic financial trading and digital advertising, he joined Microsoft AI and Research. Roy also offers data science services through his company Algoact.

Heather helps drive business and customer insight through data and visualisation. She has over 10 years’ experience of navigating teams through complex customer environments to enable Data Discovery, Data Visualization, and Data-Driven Business Insight.

Colin has a diverse career spanning more than ten years at Oracle and Dell before moving into consulting.

Essa has been working in data science, software engineering and development since completing his postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford in 2012. He specialises in AgriTech.
